**Ingredients:**
  * 4 egg
  * 1/2 Teaspoon(s) salt
  * 1 Pinch(s) baking soda
  * 1 Pound(s) powdered sugar
  * 1/4 Teaspoon(s) allspice

**Directions:** \\ Separate eggs. Beat yolks, add 5 oz powdered sugar slowly while beating until thick. Add salt, allspice, then add baking soda. Set aside.

Beat egg whites until they hold soft peaks. Add remainder of powdered sugar (8-11 oz) slowly while beating. Fold egg yolks and whites together. Cover, refrigerate until ready to use.

Put brandy or rum in a cup, add 2 T. batter, then fill with boiling water. Sprinkle with nutmeg and cinnamon.
